Project Price Estimates

Your project's word count will help us estimate how long it will take to edit.

The industry standard is that 250 words = 1 page, and, typically, editors can do 4–10 pages/hour.

Just like with many other professions, an editor's time becomes more valuable the more experience and qualifications she or he has. 

Frequently, less formal or more conversational writing can be edited more quickly than academic writing can be.

​Cleaner manuscripts can also be edited more quickly than one that requires heavy revisions and numerous queries.

As stated in the project contract, 50% of the project estimate's total is due before any editing commences. The remainder will be requested in an invoice after editing has been completed.

If you need the polished version of your project back sooner than the average editing time, a rush-order fee may be applied to the project quote.

As implied in the word estimate, actual costs due to unforeseen challenges, additional complexities, or even unexpected simplicity may combine to be a higher or lower total than shown on the price estimate.
